Neverwinter Mobile Access App

Neverwinter Mobile Access app iconThis week I am very excited to have my company, Code Summoner, publish it’s first Android app (my first mobile phone app of any kind). It’s called Neverwinter Mobile Access, it’s free, and it’s for Android (for now). iOS will be next and then I will venture to see how well it works for Windows phones and Blackberry (I need to get my hands on some testing units).

If you know me personally, you know I’m a gamer. I’m mainly a PC gamer, but consoles have a big place in my heart. One game I’m playing lately is Neverwinter Online from Perfect World and Cryptic Studios. If you enjoy fantasy games, and MMOs, you’ve got to check this one out. Neverwinter Online is 100% free to play. It’s in Open Beta and it’s very polished and fun. You may not end up playing for months, but it’ll keep you entertained for a weekend at least.

Anyway, I’m getting off track. Check out my app!

Features:

Neverwinter Mobile Access on a Samsung S4

  • Direct access to the Nerverwinter online gateway
  • Access all of your characters
  • Manage your auction house bids
  • Select new profession tasks while on holidays or at work
  • Manage your guild or see what events are planned

Get on Google Play

It’s a very simple app: it’s a glorified iframe for the Neverwinter Online gateway. The additional functionality that I’ve added is a menu that hovers over the iframe window which will house helpful quick links. I can’t directly affect the iframe, since browsers prevent this kind of cross-domain activity but I don’t really need to since Perfect World has built their site to work for the mobile experience, although, they need to optimize better for the core Android browser (issues with scrolling professions currently).
